Optimised production process
To scale up production during medicine development, optimisation is necessary. Indeed, a process from an R&D environment must be adapted during clinical trials to increasing batch volumes and with a view to a later commercial process.
It is also interesting to explore process improvements for medicines that are already on the market. Process optimisation covers a wide range of activities aimed at reducing production time, increasing yield and/or improving product quality. This is possible, for example, by reducing the number of production steps to simplify the process. However, it is important that optimisation takes place within the framework of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the product.
